Jan Lodström was a character on the Swedish audio scene. He wrote an article in a Swedish magazine describing a preamplifier that he had designed --> Remus. It became quite popular and I guess that a fair number of it was built. He later wrote another article in Sound Practices issue 5 1994 describing it.
It is a straightforward design with ECC83/12AX7 and ECC82/12AU7. Info from Magnus / DIY Audio Projects: " Once upon a time .......there was great guy, Jan Lodström. He designed tube amps according to a simple principle: KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. He was, as I just wrote a great guy; had always time to help poor amateurs out on thin ice, selling nice stuff to anyone who was in big need. However he died in Dec 1994, but left behind ideas of a simple and well sounding preamplifier, a real workhorse, built and tested by very many Swedes - the REMUS. "
