The Kl VZ502a allows to check the tubes and the input signal and to adjust the lines voltage to 200V AC which was the original supply voltage for the amps (they have also windings for 125V, 220, 230 and 250V). There is a automatically rolled up cable with a "Messerleiste" connector that allows testing different V502 amps installed in one rack without soldering.
